BACHELOR OF MUSIC (B.M.) IN PERFORMANCE

The Bachelor of Music in Performance degree is designed for students who are planning careers as performing musicians. The curriculum consists of 42 34 hours of General Education; 46 47 hours in the Core Music Curriculum, including private lessons, ensembles, music theory, ear training, piano, and music history; and approximately 40 hours of specialized music courses, including additional ensembles, advanced theory, and courses in conducting, pedagogy, technology, and music business. For specific course requirements and policies governing the Music Performance program, refer to the Department of Music Student Handbook. The culminating experiences for this degree are a junior recital and a senior recital.
